In case you haven't seen it, here's the trailer for X-Men: First Class.
I think that it looks pretty effing awesome. Lots of people will talk trash about this movie saying it's not true to the comics. I don't really care if it's true to the comics. Why? Because it's not a comic. It's a movie. They can take all of the liberties they want with the characters as long as it kicks ass. Just in the trailer I saw three reasons to see it.
1. Emma Frost/January Jones - One of the hottest women in TV and film plays one of the hottest comic book characters of all time.
2. Azazel - If you thought Nightcrawler was cool in X2, wait until you see his father. He can teleport not just within a few hundred feet but across dimensions. He's also a demon mutant who likes to impregnate hot mutant chicks aka Mystique.
3. Not sure if you were paying attention or not, but Magneto just lifted a submarine out of the water. My guess is that this is really more of an origin story for Magneto about his turning from Xavier's friend to one of the scariest villains of all time.
Yeah I watched it last night too and tried to post it on my blog but my internet was shotty. Great trailer and it has me excited for the movie!

I saw the Thor and Cap trailers. They looked pretty good. I think I'm more excited for Thor than I am Cap just from the trailers.
ReplyDeleteYou know Alice Eve was supposed to be Emma Frost instead of January Jones, I thought she was a perfect choice to play the character. But I like January too.
ReplyDeleteAlice Eve is a real looker as well. I wonder if they got January because the movie is set in the 60's and she gives off that vibe from her character in Mad Men.
